Want to do it as cost effectively as possible?

It helps to remember that doing the electrical is more expensive than patching and painting. Frequently, folks want to redo the wiring without cutting into the walls. One thing we like make clear up front: we can typically do that. But it’s going to cost a lot more than just cutting into the wall and closing it back up. Want it done more quickly and cost effectively? Be prepared to cut the sheetrock. Patching and repainting is going to cost a lot less than working inside closed walls.
